2006_03_28 What we're doing!

We work with young people and children in our community, based from our church - Onslow Community Church in Ngaio, Wellington.

We work together on a lot of stuff, but so you can get an idea of what we each do...I (Pete) work full time in a Youth Pastor role, organising and running programmes & activities for various age groups, spending time with the youth, and doing some church admin work. This year I'm also doing some Christian leadership training (One day per week). I'm supported in this role by a part-time youth intern, Lizzy, who does a great job organising the youth group (TYG)...See link to TYG blog for what we've been up to!

Heather helps out with most of the programmes & activities, has a specific role leading the Kid's Church team, meets up with some of the girls, and also finds time to do some part time teaching at Newlands Intermediate (Music performance groups one day a week & occaisional relief work).

Life and work are kinda the same...There's no real distinction between the two! We love what we do and who we do it for! Life is interesting, exciting, busy, and sometimes hard! But hey...We've got an awesome God who knows how much we can handle, and knows how to keep us depending on him!

2006_03_09 We've shifted!

Late last year we sold our place at Bronwyn Way and started searching for a bigger place, with spaces more suitable for accommodating larger groups of people (the youth in particular!).

It took some time, and things have been a little unsettled, but God came thru for us with an awesome house that far exceeded our expectations! The house is 210sqm with 4 bedrooms and a huge d/stairs rumpus room & double garage. Our new address is 10 Safari Crescent, Johnsonville, Wellington (Phone number unchanged).

God really is good, and we have learned to trust him more thru all of this!

Thanks to everyone who helped us to pack/clean, shift, and unpack/set-up at the new place. We really appreciate your help & support! You made it seem a lot more possible!...And it was more fun too!
