"Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever." Psalm 73:25-26

OCC youth ministry...

'Moses was certainly faithful in God's house, but only as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. But Christ, the faithful Son, was in charge of the entire household. And we are God's household, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.' Hebrews 3:5-6

Just looking back at these photos to put on the blog reminds me that this year has been a full one! It's exciting to be in contact with so many kids and youth. It was so encouraging to have three of our girls challenged to live out their faith by being baptised. Also cool to see older youth prepared to serve the younger youth/kids in leadership roles or being part of a small group discussion where someone is honest about where they are in life or in their relationship with God. Yet, there are so many distractions and challenges out there for them and it's hard to see them struggle with that. We have been challenged again recently about spending more time praying for our youth individually. That verse in Hebrews was really cool cause it just reminded us that we are only servants in this work, and as much as we love these guys, Christ is in totally in charge of the entire household and loves them more, and understands them more than we ever could. So we continue to hang out and share with these kids knowing that God is at work in His own way and time. We do want to thank you for your support and continue to ask that you would join us in praying for these young lives as the year draws to an end. Pray they would grow in their faith despite the challenges and that we would be faithful in the work we do with them.
